About Alexander Becker – DevOps Engineer

About Me

I come from real-world IT infrastructure – from hands-on, not from theory. 🧰

My roots are in classic systems engineering: Linux servers 🐧, networks 🌐, security 🔐, monitoring 📈, and backup 💾. No buzzwords – just real systems, real responsibility.

After years in traditional IT (support 🧑‍🔧, sysadmin ⚙️, networking 📡), I built and operated my own platforms – from bare-metal Linux servers to full-scale, automated web infrastructure with real users, real uptime, and real revenue.

Today, I design and run production-grade, cloud-native platforms across Azure AKS, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) – focusing on automation, reliability, and simplicity.

I use Terraform, Azure ACR Build Tasks, Google Cloud Build & Cloud Run, and AWS CodeBuild to create declarative, reproducible pipelines that scale themselves – not their operational overhead.

My approach is simple: platforms should be invisible – because they just work.
If they don’t, I’ll find out why and fix it. 🛠️

⚙️ Engineering mindset, 🐧 Linux depth, ☁️ Kubernetes everywhere, 🤖 GenAI integration – that’s my toolkit.
🐧 Infrastructure, not improvisation.
🚫 No buzzwords. No excuses.

From classic sysadmin to modern platform engineer, I’ve built AI-enabled, cloud-native infrastructure that runs quietly and securely in the background.
If you want to talk about automation, cloud architectures, or why good platforms should disappear behind great products – connect.

What Drives Me

I believe that sustainable system administration, smart automation, and a stable IT backbone are the real heroes behind any successful company.

My goal is to contribute technical expertise, operational reliability, and a mindset for continuous evolution – whether it’s about cloud platforms, web servers, Linux systems, or hybrid infrastructure models.

Beyond the Tech

When I’m not tuning servers or exploring container orchestration, you’ll probably find me spending quality time with my daughter, learning new technologies, or experimenting with automation ideas.

Also, I’m a big believer in structured workflows, clear documentation, and making complex systems simpler and more resilient – without unnecessary buzzwords 😉
